Wings (6), Ranch

Snack:
Chocolate chip muffin

Dinner:
OmegaPlex
Spaghetti, cherry cheesecake dessert (it’s not cheesecake)

Activity:
Steps-7,934 (3.7 miles)

Thoughts:
I don’t usually eat lunch on Sundays. It has to do with the fact we have a HUGE family dinner on Sunday nights. So usually I have something small then dinner isn’t so fatal to the diet. I was starving at about 1pm though. Sucks. So I made some wings that I found in the freezer. Not the best choice, but sure beats eating a ton of little “snacks” because I’m so hungry. So I guess 6 of one, half dozen of another. HA! Overall it wasn’t an awful day. Can’t wait to share the total recap!

Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 23

Day 23 already! Holy buckets! I swear I just started this challenge yesterday! Anyway, yesterday I ran the Color Me Rad 5k and went to the Parade of Homes again. It was a fun day, but very exhausting. I slept 11 hours last night. I think I was a little sleepy. I’m just so glad that Clyde let me sleep that long. Maybe today I’ll be able to be productive, you know clean the house, mow the grass, pooper scoop, take Clyde for walks, etc. Fun filled day!

Day 23
Breakfast:
MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
Coffee w/cream
Chocolate Mocha Meal Replacement Shake

Snack:
Egg McMuffin (we got these after the race)

Lunch:
Chicken breast, broccoli

Snack:
Scotcharoo, Dr. Pepper

Dinner:
No dinner (I wasn’t hungry)

Activity:
Color Me Rad 5k (3.1miles)
Steps-17,694 (8.2 miles)

Thoughts:
Yesterday was a really good day. It was fun filled day with family. The Color Me Rad is always fun. I’ll do a separate post with all the fun pictures! The Parade of Homes was great again, I voted for my favorite home. I really was considering just squatting in the home because there’s no way I could afford it. HA! Clyde and I went for 2 walks last night too, that was lovely. I think he is really starting to enjoy our little outings. How was your Saturday?

Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 22

Well this challenge is going quite well. I did the Color Me Rad 5k this morning and I saw the pics we took and I look so much more trim than last year! Thank you crossfit and Advocare for helping me look great! Here is the recap for yesterday!

Activity:
Crossfit-2 rounds: 30 ring rows, run 800m, 30 dips (green band), run 800m
Steps-13,904 (7.3 miles)

Thoughts:
The doughnut totally screwed up my day. I really hate that people at the office pressure you until you crack. It’s pretty crazy. I’m so over it. There was literally no getting out of that one. Ugh…I hate how one decision throws your whole body in a tailspin. I guess that’s life. I will do better.

Steps-14,839 (7.3 miles)

Thoughts:
Yesterday I hit a new level of crazy with the workouts. Seriously, who does a post workout workout after leg day. Apparently, this girl! We are trying to reach 6,000 miles by Sunday for a contest at work, so any extra is awesome. However, today my legs are dying a slow painful death. Boo. Oh well. I’ll just stretch a lot today!

Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 20

Life is out of control! I was stuck in traffic for 30 minutes last night on my way to a Pampered Chef Party! Holy buckets, that rarely happens in Billings. Being in traffic usually means you’re moving slowly, but still moving. I’ve never seen it like that in the 6 years I’ve lived here. CRAZY. I guess there’s a first time for everything. Here’s my recap.

Day 20
Breakfast:
Coffee w/cream
MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake

Snack:
Apple w/peanut butter

Lunch:
MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
MNS 3 White Packs
Butter lettuce salad w/ranch & croutons, tuna & crackers w/pickles, carrots, fruit punch spark

Snack:
Snickerdoodle Cookie

Dinner:
OmegaPlex
Salad bar from Lucky’s: romaine lettuce, cucumbers, onions, ranch, croutons, cottage cheese, and cucumber, tomato, onion salad (delish!) Then at the Pampered Chef Party I had a small sampling of risotto and a couple apple wedges with a chocolate dip.

Activity:
Steps-10,431 (5.3 miles)
Crossfit-2 rounds: 100 crossovers (25lbs, each side), run 200m, 100 ball to toe (15lbs), run 200m, 100 weighted crunch (15lbs), run 200m in 23:30, then an additional 400m run to make it 1600m

Thoughts:
Today was one of those days where it felt like everything took forever to do. It took forever to get through that workout (though I had a good time compared to the other people), it took forever at the grocery store and I had a very minimal cart, it took forever to get through traffic to get to the Pampered Chef party. By the time I got back home after the party I was spent. I prepared my stuff for the next day and went to bed. My allergies are kicking up something fierce and I’m over that as well. I think I’m going to have to breakdown and get some allergy meds. It’s really getting that bad. We shall see how Day 21 goes.

Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 19

How am I on Day 19 already! Jeepers it’s going quick. I officially signed up to be an independent distributor yesterday. Go me! YAY! Here’s my recap:

MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake

Snack:
Apple w/peanut butter

Lunch:
MNS 3 Color Pack
MNS 3 White Packs
Butter lettuce salad with tuna, croutons, ranch and a side of baby carrots
Trenta Iced Tea from Starbucks
Salted Caramel Cake Pop

Snack:
none

Dinner:
OmegaPlex
10oz sirloin, baked potato w/sour cream, salad with ranch

Activity:
Crossfit-15 min AMRAP-Sumo High Pulls (45lbs) and Handwalk Pushups (20, 19, 18, 17, 16)
Steps-11,261 (5.2 miles)

Thoughts:
The salted caramel cake pop was a total impulse buy. Whoops. I shouldn’t have had it, but I’m trying not to think about it too much. I had a lot to do and it happened. Oh well. It really could be worse, I could’ve eaten salted caramel cake, like a whole cake, but I just had a little pop instead. Much better. However, I’ve noticed something with desserts. They really do set of a chain reaction of events, and make you CRAVE more and more sugar. It’s really crazy. I’m thinking I need to do a sugar detox one of these days. Yikes. Other than that things are going really good with this challenge. I no longer have issue with eating the same thing for lunch every day as long as I get to make something for dinner that’s different. Let me tell ya, the meal replacement shakes make my mornings so much easier as well. I have a very simple routine in the mornings now with a standard breakfast and lunch. It’s great. I’m hoping that after the challenge the habits continue.

Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Days 17 & 18

Well life has been insane between volunteering and house repairs, oh and that funny little thing called a full time job. HA! Hopefully this week is the last week for a couple weeks on the house repairs. We shall see. Here’s a recap of the last couple days!

20140829_073034

Day 17
I was volunteering at a barrel race benefit for a member of the community. I cannot ride due to a severe allergy to horses, however, I can type the times into Excel! Go me!

MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake

Snack:
White Chocolate Latte

Lunch:
MNS 3 color pack (30 mins prior)

Cheeseburger, cheetos, water

Snack:
None

Dinner:
OmegaPlex
Papa Murphy’s Garlic Chicken Pizza (3 slices)

Activity:
Steps-5,194 (2.4 miles)

Thoughts:
It’s really hard to move around when you are keeping track of the times, so my steps really suffered for the day. However, it is such a great thing to be able to volunteer for a great community and help any way possible. My diet wasn’t that great either, again though, the proceeds from my cheeseburger went to help the young man with medical expenses. So I don’t regret it one bit.

Day 18
Breakfast:
MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)
Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake
Coffee w/cream

Snack:
Apple w/peanut butter

Lunch:
MNS 3 Color Pack (30 mins prior)

Tuna with bread & butter pickles, crackers

Snack:
Oreo Brownie Earthquake

Dinner:

Arby’s Turkey, Bacon, Ranch Club, fries, Dr. P

Steps-11,957 (6.0 miles)

Thoughts:
Well today’s food was a show. Sheesh. Ice cream sounded amazing as we were working on the house so mom went and got some while dad and I slaved away making sure all the windows were trimmed out, and the gutters got cleaned. It’s a great time here in Montana. I’m hoping that by the end of October I’ll have all the house repairs done, including painting and inside trim. We will see how realistic my goals are. I need to finish spraying down the side of the house so I can possibly paint tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes. Good thing I have a dad that is such a good sport, and has all those nifty power tools!
