Advocare 24-Day Challenge: Day 21

AC_logoblue-pms2748

Last day of Thanksgiving weekend, BOO! It’s back to reality today, doing laundry, meal prep, getting ready for the work week. Oh joy! Yesterday, we went and looked at a few houses for my aunt and uncle. That was fun, except the blizzard that hit. It flat out snowed yesterday. I could not believe for how cold it was (I don’t think it got above 10) that we got as much snow as we did. We probably got a few inches. So crazy. And this morning it is -7!! Here is the recap.

Day 21
30 mins before breakfast – Mango Strawberry Spark, MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Breakfast – Berry Meal Replacement Shake

Snack – None

30 mins before lunch – MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Lunch – MNS 3 White Packs, Cracker Barrel Sunrise Sampler (no biscuits and gravy)

Snack – None

Dinner – OmegaPlex, Fried Chicken, Jojo’s and Anitpasto Pasta Salad

Snack – None

Bedtime – Catalyst

Workouts:
Steps – 4,446 (2.3 miles)

Notes:
Well it could’ve been worse! HAHA! Family leaves today so my eating should get back on track this week! Woot woot! Only 2 more days of the challenge and then it’s time to continue on. I believe that I will start incorporating coffee back in on weekends, that way I won’t develop the addiction to the coffee as bad. We shall see. I do kind of miss it, but I think I have started feeling better without it constantly. Crazy how that works. So we will see.

Advocare 24-Day Challenge: Day 20

AC_logoblue-pms2748

What a great holiday weekend! It has been wonderful. It was so great to see all the family and friends that have been around this weekend. I cannot wait to see what else unfolds. Yesterday I spent a good majority of the day out and about with family and friends, taking in the Black Friday deals of the day! I got a TON of Christmas decorations from ShopKo and a pretty sweet hoodie from Scheel’s. When we were at Scheel’s we decided to try their restaurant, and it was AMAZING! It was so much better than I had expected! I had the Elk Philly, which is like a Philly Cheesesteak, but made with elk instead of beef. I have to say it was SOOO GOOD! I highly recommend it. I was so full afterwards that the gelato I wanted to try did not happen. Maybe another time. Here is the recap!

Day 20
30 mins before breakfast – Fruit Punch Spark, MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Breakfast – Berry Meal Replacement Shake

Snack – None

Lunch – Elk Philly, Cheddar & Sour Cream chips, iced tea

Snack – None

30 mins before dinner – MNS 3 yellow pack (forgot to take it at lunch)

Dinner – MNS 3 White Packs, pork chop, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts

Snack – None

Bedtime – Catalyst

Workouts:
Steps – 8,164 (4.2 miles)

Notes:
I actually didn’t do too bad, considering. It’s a lot easier when your thoughts about food have changed. That’s definitely a plus!

Happy Thanksgiving & Advocare 24-Day Challenge: Day 18

AC_logoblue-pms2748

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope today you get to spend time with your family and make memories that you can cherish forever. I will be doing the Run, Turkey, Run 5k this morning. Then I’ll be coming back home to make PaleOMG’s Brussels Sprouts Gratin and Pampered Chef’s sweet potatoes! It’s going to be a lovely time. I cannot wait.

So yesterday, we had kind of a free day at the gym. As in, no prescribed workout unless you wanted one. I decided that I was going to learn how to deadlift and it was AWESOME! My first time ever deadlifting and I got to a max of 215! BAM!  It was so great. I tried for 235 and I couldn’t get it. Bummer. Next time! HAHAHA! Here is the recap:

Day 18
30 mins before breakfast – Mango Strawberry Spark, MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Breakfast – Berry Meal Replacement Shake

Snack – None

30 mins before lunch – MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Lunch – Veggie Pizza, MNS 3 White Packs

Snack – None

Dinner – OmegaPlex, Pizza Ranch, Salad, Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Onion Peels

Snack – None

Bedtime – Catalyst

Workouts:
Crossfit – Max Deadlift (215lbs), Straight leg kettlebell deadlifts (max 40lbs)
Steps –  9,329 (4.8 miles)

Notes:
As I said earlier the deadlift was awesome! I finally got some appetite back too, clearly. I don’t even feel the tiniest bit bad about what I ate yesterday because I had not eaten enough for a couple of days. So it will be okay. Still working on my balance. I’ll get there eventually. I cannot believe we are almost done with this challenge though! Jeepers!

Just a side note, I will not be doing a recap of today due to the holiday. Enjoy your family time and see you back here on Saturday!

Young Living Essential Oils: Essential Rewards November 2014

YL_ID_alt_full_color

I could not believe how fast my November Essential Rewards order got here this month! YAY! Seems like Young Living is catching up with their exponential growth! Here is what I got for November!

20141118_172411

The Essential Rewards special was a 5ml bottle of Christmas Spirit, 5ml bottle of Ginger (190pv), 10% back in Essential Rewards points (250pv), and a bottle of Thyromin with a 300pv order. When November started I wasn’t going to order this much and then the orders just kept coming in! Here is what I ordered.

Lemongrass
Lavender (3 15ml bottles)
Aroma Siez
DiGize
Dragon Time
Progessence Plus
Orange
Lip Balm Collection
Bon Voyage Travel Kit
30 bottle hard case

20141118_172424

Lots of great things. I used my Zyto Scanner to figure out what oils I’m needing lately. P+ was on special this month too with 10% off and I had heard such great things about it that I figured why not give it a try?! I had to order replacements for lemongrass, orange and the lip balm collection due to a donation to a fundraiser at work. Love getting people in the oily spirit!

Advocare 24-Day Challenge: Day 17

AC_logoblue-pms2748

Happy Thanksgiving! Okay, day before! Whatevs. It’s still my favorite holiday of the year. I just love how families come together to celebrate over great food and football. You know it’s coming, GO COWBOYS! HAHA!

Yesterday we had a killer workout. It was a “death bucket” workout. We had to draw our workout out of a bucket. We could draw 6 for 100 reps or 10 for 50 reps. It was awful. I did the 6 for 100, and yeah. It backfired. Of course it did. It took me over an hour to do the workout. It was so much fun! Oh and let me just mention that it was freezing yesterday. HAHA! Here’s the recap:

Day 17
30 mins before breakfast – Mango Strawberry Spark, MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Breakfast – Berry Meal Replacement Shake

Snack – None

30 mins before lunch – MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Lunch – Salad (lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, ranch, croutons), cottage cheese, pasta salad

Snack – Watermelon Spark

Dinner – Cookie Dough Quest Protein Bar

Snack – None

Bedtime – Catalyst

Workout:
Crossfit – Death Bucket 6 for 100 reps: 100 no-touch burpees, 100 box jumps, 100 knee-to-elbow, 100 overhead lunges (25lbs), run 3 miles…I don’t know my time for sure, but it was over an hour.
Steps – 13,332 (7.1 miles)

Notes:
I didn’t eat much, but I wasn’t hungry either. I’m down an additional 2 pounds though! YAY! This challenge has been much easier than the previous one. I think having the support system really helps. The workout was awful, but I survived! WOO! Today I’m hoping I can learn how to deadlift! Hooray for learning new things!

Advocare 24-Day Challenge: Day 16

AC_logoblue-pms2748

Well, I stayed up way too late last night trying to finish Divergent. Yes I know, I’m late to the game. I just wasn’t really sure I wanted to read it and well now I’m sad that it has taken me so long. It is a great story so far. If the book wouldn’t have literally been falling in my face, I probably would’ve finished it last night. I mean who needs sleep? HA!

Nothing else too crazy happened, I got my ass kicked by kettlebell clean & jerks at the gym. That was fun. OH and I tried a Quest bar for the first time last night! Those are pretty tasty. I took the brownie one and warmed it up in the microwave for a few seconds and it was the bomb! I highly recommend those! I have another one in my purse for emergency snacks. I try to always keep an emergency snack on hand for those times when you are just so hungry or your going to have a long afternoon. They really help me not to go through a drive-thru or get sweets from the grocery store. Here is the recap:

Day 16
30 mins before breakfast – Mango Strawberry Spark, MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Breakfast – Berry Meal Replacement Shake

Snack – None

30 mins before Lunch – MNS 3 Yellow Pack

Lunch – Salad (lettuce, carrots, corn, ranch, croutons, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese), MNS 3 white packs

Snack – Watermelon Spark (pre-workout)

Dinner – OmegaPlex, pork cutlet, sweet potato w/butter, cauliflower w/butter & S&P

Snack – Quest Brownie Bar

Bedtime – Catalyst

Workouts:
Crossfit – 15 min AMRAP: 2, 4, 6, 8….,18, 20, 22 clean & jerks (30lbs), jump squats
Steps – 9,345 (4.8 miles)

Notes:
I did not have a hungry day at all. That’s how I survived most of it on a shake and a salad. I literally wasn’t that hungry when I ate dinner, but knew the workouts were going to be killer this week so I better get some nutrition in  my body. Let’s hope the whole week doesn’t go like this! HAHA! Who knows. My body does what it wants.

BarkBox: October 2014

Clyde loved his October Barkbox! I think he loves every Barkbox, but he really loved the Day of the Dead doll that came in this one. He is still playing with it to this day! Silly little guy! Here is what came in the October box.

barkbox logo

October Contents:

20141031_180310
Safemade Dia de los Muertos Skull (Clyde’s favorite) – $11 value, this toy has held up to Clyde constantly playing with it. It has extra trim around the sides for durability.
Hare of the Dog Rabbit Jerky Stick – I haven’t given this to Clyde yet. I’m sure he will love it when I do ($3 value).
Wet Noses Pumpkin biscuits – We haven’t tried these yet either. Agility gave him too many treats so they are very sparingly now ($2 value).

20141031_180404
American Dog Toys Flash & Glow Ball – This ball constantly gets stuck under the couch, but it is easy to find with its flashing lights! Clyde loves playing with balls (haha, yes I’m 2 sometimes), and this seems to be a good one for him ($9 value).
Snicky Snaks Cinnamon Crunch Bar – Clyde really liked this one. I think he ate the whole bar in like 2 seconds! ($2 value)
Superior Farms Venison Crepe – I gave this one to Clyde on Halloween! He loved it! He loves super crunchy things. Probably why he loves knuckle bones so much! ($8 value)

BarkBox is a subscription service that sends a box of goodies to your dog every month. You can pick boxes depending on the size of your dog. Clyde gets a medium box and it’s $39.95 per month. The other really cool thing about BarkBox is that should Clyde not love an item in his box they will replace it! This is huge! I love that I get to try new things with Clyde and I don’t have to worry about him being disappointed.

I was not compensated by Barkbox in any way to write a review for Barkbox. All opinions are my own.
