Saturday Training Recap

So I decided to sign up for a competition in June with a girl from the gym. It is a team competition, so a team of 2, female/female or male/male. It’s going to be great! However, with the competition looming the training has increased substantially, as in at a minimum 2 workouts a day. I will be recapping the workouts as I progress through them. I’m really excited for this competition though. I’m finding PR’s and doing more than I ever thought possible, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.

Monday
WOD 1
2 rounds-7min AMRAP:
10 jump squats
10 kettlebell swings (40lbs)
10 slammers (20lbs)
1 min rest

I got 6+/5+

WOD 2
Grace (30 snatches, 3 min time cap)

Finished in 2:55

WOD 3
21-15-9, 5 min time cap
Thrusters@65lbs
Toe to bar

Made it through 15 thrusters

Tuesday
WOD 1
20 dips (black band)
20 pistols
1200m run
30 dips
30 pistols
800m run
40 dips
40 pistols
400m run

I finished in 26:30

WOD 2
30-20-10
Pullups, GHD Sit ups

Finished in 26:50

Wednesday
WOD 1
18min AMRAP:
10 toe-to-bar
20 weighted crunches (25lb ball)
30 bicycle abs
Max Plank

I don’t know how many rounds, but I held a plank for 1:15!

WOD 2
A combobulation of things:
300 single unders
26 lunges (95lbs)
20 hang cleans (95lbs)
10 GHD sit ups

Thursday
WOD 1
Death by Thrusters +1 every minute

I finished 11+6

WOD 2
3 mins to complete 30 clean & jerks (75lbs)

I finished 20 in 3 mins

Friday
WOD 1
100 box jumps
80 mountain climbers
400m run
60 burpees
40 overhead lunges (25lbs)
400m run

I finished in 24:50

WOD 2
5 hang squat cleans (45lbs)
15 hang squat cleans (75lbs)
